Prison Reform Trust

www.prisonreformtrust.org.uk/

A brand refresh and new website brings home the realities of life in prison and helps to emphasise The Prison Reform Trust’s role in creating a just, humane and effective penal system.

The Challenge
  • The brief was to brand the Trust as purposeful, authoritative and modern to enable it to work more effectively with key stakeholders, prisoners and their families.

The Solution
  • A consultative process with Prison Reform Trust staff and trustees assessed current perceptions of the brand
  • An interactive design workshop with the Prison Reform Trust stakeholders enabled the proposed brand and website design concepts to be modified instantly incorporating team feedback
  • Striking images from renowned photographer, Edmund Clark’s book “Still Life: Killing Time” were used throughout the website to show the realities of life inside
  • Along with the refreshed brand, the PRT website was redeveloped to reflect the new branding, incorporate the Edmund Clark photography and enable the PRT team to quickly and easily set up new sub-brands and campaign microsites
The Results
  • Both the brand and website relaunch gave the PRT a unique opportunity to unveil a refreshed and vibrant image to stakeholders and an excellent opportunity to show it is a modern and relevant organisation with a robust reform agenda at its heart.

What the client said

Because of the nature of our work, the logo and look needed to be purposeful, serious and modern. Convio worked with the Prison Reform Trust’s team and trustees to find a visual identity that met these needs and created a clean, bold and engaging website that better reflects our aims as an organisation.
