Alzheimers Society
OVERVIEW
- Alzheimer’s Society is the leading UK care and research charity for people with this disease and other dementias, their families and carer
The Challenge
- The Alzheimer’s Society wanted a creative campaign theme that could be used across online and offline marketing channels to attract people to sign up to a fundraising event on the Alzheimer’s Society website
- It was important to present a clear and simple proposition and creative for supporters to understand why they should fundraise for the charity
The Solution
- In a collaborative and interactive design workshop, the Convio design team worked with the Alzheimer’s Society to create a campaign to encourage people to sign-up to one big thing in 2012
- The creative concept chosen used evocative and inspiring photography from fundraising events which incorporated Alzheimer’s branding coupled with simple calls to action
- The language used was a play on the idea of memory, e.g. ‘Remember to Run’
- The chosen concept was then developed into different assets for use across digital and print for a completely integrated campaign – website takeover, brochures, print and digital advertisements
The Results
- The impactful designs were created very quickly – there were only four weeks between pitching for the work and the concepts being completed
- This speedy turnaround meant that the creative campaign could be launched in time for New Year, a time when people are making New Year resolutions and thinking about new ways to get fit and therefore may be more receptive to signing up for a fundraising event
